Pentax related news timeline from Apr'11 to Feb'12.

Perhaps the best way to report the happenings related to Pentax K-r in the past year would be a timeline. So let's start from:

April 2011- Camouflage Grips for K-r is announced.

May 2011- Rainbow color K-r is announced.

June 2011- World smallest (as of June 2011) interchangeable lens camera is announced: Pentax Q!
(Downgrade?)

July- September 2011- *Quiet*

October 2011- Ricoh buys over Pentax camera brand.
(Future of Pentax is uncertain but seems for the better.)

November 2011-*Quiet*

December 2011-K-r is confirmed to be discontinued in production.
(No more new colors?)

January 2012- Rumours of new mirrorless Pentax camera using K-mount spread like wild fire.
(Upgrade? Downgrade?)

February 2012- 1. New Mirrorless Pentax camera K-01 is announced with the 9.2mm pancake lens, DA 40mm f2.8 XS.
(That lens is really flat! Almost like body cap and can fit on my K-r)

2.Lens roadmap for 2012-2013 at Japan CP+ show.
(A fast 50mm f1.8 prime is confirmed and maybe a 18-200 telezoom for my K-r)
